Exams
Instructors construct exams to determine if students know the material they've been teaching. Failure on an exam is not the end of the world; it lets your instructor know that you need some extra help. However, few things encourage the sweaty palms and nervous stomachs of students worldwide than the fear of failing an exam.
Whether we're talking about term exams, final exams or entrance exams, you can reduce exam anxiety with the good study habits and preparation. Give your brainpower an extra boost with a good night's rest the night before the exam. The time to "cram" for the test is not the night before. Leading up to the exam devise a study schedule whereby you touch on the material or evaluation topics for an hour or so each day. Ask you teacher for a study guide or some guidance on what and how to study.
After a good night's rest the night before the exam, wake up early on the morning of the exam and do a final review. If you studied properly, got lots of rest and you still fail, talk to the test administrator about possibly re-taking the exam. Since instructors are using the exam to evaluate your mastery of the material presented, offer to complete a project or research paper about the test topic(s) to raise your grade.
Some teachers assign length term papers or research papers to find out the same information that an exam will reveal - do you know the material? Expect that you'll spend the same amount of time researching essays or term papers that you'll use preparing and studying for an exam. Get organized and plan each step of your essay writing on a schedule. Your schedule should call for the completion of the paper a few days before the due date to account for unexpected setbacks
